Rebecca Saunders is an independent retail and ecommerce consultant with broad industry experience and a passion for all things related to customers and products. Rebecca's clients span brands, marketplaces and retailers in a variety of sectors, all of whom have ambitious plans for growth.
As a retail thought leader, Rebecca has spoken at the London Stationery Show, the National Wedding Shows, Bread & Jam and Enterprise Nation's Start Up events as well as writing a regular column for Stationery Matters.
Rebecca recently ran several categories (Baby & Child, Food & Drink, Stationery, Weddings and Christmas) at curated marketplace notonthehighstreet.com, where she led a team responsible for product strategy, category management, seller relationships, new business, merchandising, visual merchandising and production. She was formerly the John Lewis Buyer for Beauty and Computers and has worked in Strategy for John Lewis, Argos, J.Crew and Tiffany & Co.
As well as her interest in retail, Rebecca is keen violinist and has been the leader of Orchestra of the City for ten years. She is a board member and trustee of Orchestras Live, where she sits on the Finance Committee and has a specific focus on digital operations.
Rebecca started her career in Finance and Strategy following an Economics degree from Cambridge University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Rebecca lives in London and tweets at @retaildetail.
